Kickin Knowledge..
SO... Transformers 2 was AMAZING.. even though I fell asleep.. but I definitely was up long enough to see these two autobots who were depicting a slew of black stereotypes...
Then I read this article about it.. Allyson Nadia Field, an assistant professor of cinema and media studies at the University of California, Los Angeles said this:
"There's a persistent dehumanization of African-Americans throughout Hollywood that displaces issues of race onto non-human entities.. It's not about skin color or robot color. It's about how their actions and language are coded racially."
You cant really see it in this picture, but the green one has buck teeth and one of them are gold. In each scene they banter back and forth in "jive/broken ebonics"... Even though it may have been intended for comic relief, its still offensive because why do they have to "talk black" in order to get a laugh?

10 THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK....
1. I need to give myself more personal time.
2. Exes never die.
3. Love is inexplicable at times. You can't help who you fall for or are attracted to.
4. Be honest. And forgive. It helps to get the stupid feelings out.
5. North Korea is like really after us.
6. I appreciate movies more than I thought.. (thanks to movie night? maybe lol)
7. I mentally will not engage in things that don't interest me or I'm not passionate about.. I literally have to force myself at times.
8. I have deep thoughts.
9. Everyone is connected. The world is getting smaller.
10. Cocoa Butter + Vanilla Body Scrub makes your skin baby smoooth and soft.

The first official weekend of S U M M E R...
I don't know how I'm gonna make it out to everything.. But Im really gonna try... When you work 9 to 5 everyday... you reaaaally value your weekend time.. that's why I've had 3 good weekends in a row.. And I finally have time to chill with ALLLL of my friends.. Normally I don't promote movies because lately everything I've seen SUCKS but on Monday I checked out THE HANGOVER.. let me just say that this movie had me literally dying from beginning to end... ESPECIALLY the ending.. its filled with sarcastic & crude humor that I live for...
