This really pissed me off...

Now, I may not agree or support the choices that Karrine has made in her life as a video girl, however I have been following her "career" and she's made significant changes in the direction of her life. As she said, she is now married, with two children, and 31 yrs old. She is also quite intelligent as you could probably tell from the way she enunciates and verbalizes her thoughts clearly despite being riddiculed... (she was an English major in College)..

SO.. my problem with this is that #1 its the CW network which has a number of "black" shows.. #2.. I feel that this type of response is the reason why some young black women feel that they can never change their lives because they will always be known by their past... #3 They anchors showed her no respect.. it was as if they looked down upon her when she's accomplished quit a bit as a NY Times Best Seller..

It saddened me that the sole purpose of that interview was to trap Karrine into saying she was a "hoe" and how many rappers she's been with.. I also feel that there was a level of immaturity displayed by news anchors who are supposed to have some type of credibility... It's fine to have an opinion, but their job was to interview and promote her book.. Instead it turned ito, "well she's just a rump shaker in some rap videos". Makes you wonder what they think about ALL black girls.. In summation.. I was appauled...

Gonna go read a BLACK power book now..

Kickin Knowledge..

SO... Transformers 2 was AMAZING.. even though I fell asleep.. but I definitely was up long enough to see these two autobots who were depicting a slew of black stereotypes...

Then I read this article about it.. Allyson Nadia Field, an assistant professor of cinema and media studies at the University of California, Los Angeles said this:

You cant really see it in this picture, but the green one has buck teeth and one of them are gold. In each scene they banter back and forth in "jive/broken ebonics"... Even though it may have been intended for comic relief, its still offensive because why do they have to "talk black" in order to get a laugh?
